Tides and Timber: Dome Accommodation In New Brunswick

Dome Score: 8/10

Tides and Timber Glamping is dome accommodation in Bayside, New Brunswick, Canada.

The domes are nestled in a forested hillside off the Passamaquoddy Bay, near the famous Bay of Fundy (home to the world’s highest tides).

Overall, this dome met all my Chinscratcher criteria. It was spacious, clean with a modern design. It had a deck with a private hot tub and a private firepit that was stocked with dry wood and kindling.

Check-in was independent. The domes were space about 30 feet apart. The owner’s home was on a separate area of property.

The hosts, Ryan and Isabelle, get consistent praise for being attentive and “thinking of everything.”.

My dome neighbors were reasonable quiet and friendly.

The Activities

Kayak and Paddle Boarding

Kayaks, canoe, and paddle boards with life jackets (best used at high tide on the Waweig River). Check tide times in advance — the river is best for paddling at high tide, and the shore reveals interesting features (like a local “Dinosaur Rock”) at low tide.

Shoreline Fire Pit

There was a cool shared fire pit area near the Waweig River.

Visiting St. Andrews

It’ close to the historic seaside town of St. Andrews.
